Wizards announced on Monday, October 26, that Magic Presents: Black History Month Celebration will run at WPN local game stores from February 1 through 28, 2027. It is a special Commander event celebrating “the culture, stories, and expressions of Black identity,” with unique rules that will presumably make the command zone a little more culturally specific than usual. Every participant receives a traditional foil Vivien Reid promo with new art by Eli Minaya. Wizards will also donate $1 per participant to Black Girls Code, up to $45,000, giving the event a charitable engine alongside the familiar local-store gathering.
