MagicCon Tokyo’s New Perspectives grant is open, with Wizards of the Coast offering marginalized Magic fans a $2,000 award toward attending, according to EDHREC’s November 5 report. Ten recipients will each receive the stipend plus a Black Lotus VIP Package, including a three-day MagicCon: Tokyo badge. Applications are open worldwide and close at 8:00 a.m. PT on November 17; anonymized submissions will be judged on quality, originality, and contributions to a more inclusive or accessible community. Recipients will hear by December 8, then handle their own travel and Japan entry requirements, the less glamorous part of every international adventure, even one involving Black Lotus.
