Star City Games’ The Spike Feeders: Star Trek Commander Early Access, published October 30, opens the Star Trek Gauntlet with its first Commander game. The series is headed toward a November 12 championship, with the winners of the next four games earning their places. The published lists already show two very different approaches: Commander Spock leans into landfall and enormous green ramp payoffs such as Ashaya, Avenger of Zendikar, and Uro, while Captain Kirk, Boldly Going assembles an artifact-heavy crew featuring Master of Etherium, Metalwork Colossus, and Traxos. It is early-access gameplay rather than a metagame verdict, but at least the new legends have been given a proper shakedown instead of a ceremonial trip around the preview room.
